Stephen Colbert Is Taking Romney’s Loss Rather Hard

Last night I dozed off right around the time Jon Stewart was wrapping up his interview with Nate Silver on the Daily Show, so I didn’t see the Colbert Report until I took a break for lunch this afternoon and fired up the ole DVR. I had no idea what I was missing.

In short, it was hilarious — Colbert playing a completely defeated version of the blowhard character inspired by Bill O’Reilly and other right wing Fox News personalities. He opened the show wearing a baseball cap turned backwards and a robe. He ate popcorn and guzzled Bud Light Lime. He was suffering like all the other “real Americans” out there over the “four more years of hopey change” America voted for on Tuesday. It was all too funny.
