Katy Perry’s ‘Last Friday Night’ Video Is Pretty Rad After All

For quite some time Katy Perry has been saying that the video for “Last Friday Night” would essentially be one of the greatest music videos of all time. And you know what — she was right (There, I said it).

The video was set to be released tomorrow — with hype so high for it that a preview of it released last week garnered nearly three million pageviews on YouTube — but her team apparently decided that it just couldn’t wait, so they released it over the weekend. The video is catchy and fun, like the song itself, and looks and feels like the sort of thing John Hughes would create if he were alive and directing music videos.
