As I’ve stated previously, I’m not all that into Das Racist — “joke rap” or any other kind of comedic music really isn’t my thing (Don’t even get me started on Jack Black singing rock songs). However, I have seen them perform live and thought they put on a pretty extraordinary show and I respect the hell out of what they’ve done: with no manager or record label, they’ve used the power of the internet to make stars of themselves. Last week they were on the cover of Spin, this week they’re performing on Conan. Pretty goddamn impressive if you ask me, or them for that matter…
