So often way too much attention is paid to the crap “musicians” YouTube has given birth to (I’m looking at you, Rebecca Black), so we here at UPROXX like to remind you every now and then that there are some outrageously talented people are using the medium to circumvent the entertainment industry’s traditional old guard to turn themselves into genuine stars. One such person is DeStorm, a rapper with over a million subscribers to his YouTube channel who recently won an AMA award in it’s inaugural “new media” category.
And now he’s garnered perhaps the ultimate stamp of approval an aspiring hip-hop artist could attain: a collaboration with a bonafide star like Talib Kweli. That’s like Aaron Sorkin and I writing a film together. Or something.
