Quick…you’re newly minted multi-billionaire Mark Zuckerberg and you’re going to marry your long-time girlfriend and you can afford to have any musician in the world play at your wedding? Who do you choose — besides Brian McKnight, the obvious choice? Allegedly under-endowed Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, of course!

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong performed at Zuckerberg’s Palo Alto, Calif., nuptials on Saturday, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

“They’ve been friends for some time,” a source close to the artist tells PEOPLE of Zuckerberg and Armstrong. “He wasn’t paid. It was a total impromptu wedding present for a friend.”

Seeing as there have been rumors floating on Twitter about Zuck not having a prenup, I really hope Armstrong performed “American Idiot.”
