Frank Ocean Can Cover Prince Whenever He Wants

Frank Ocean, who has been gathering Album of the Year reviews as fast as critics can write them, played the Los Angeles venue The Wiltern last night, as part of his channel ORANGE tour. He performed “Pyramids” and “Super Rich Kids” (with Earl Sweatshirt), of course, but the real highlight was his cover of Prince’s ode to still being head over heels for a two-timing former-lover, “When You Were Mine.” It was as smooth as:

And that’s damn smooth. At 0:21, you can hear a woman scream, “OH MY GOD.” My thoughts exactly.
