Overheard inside the Ed Sullivan theater last night…

“Yes, dear, I remembered to take my arthritis medication this morning. Now, who’s this musical performer about to play? Tom Wakes? I don’t think I’ve ever heard of him, but he certainly looks like he’s been around the block. I just don’t OH MY GOD WHAT’S WRONG WITH HIS VOICE IT SOUNDS LIKE HE’S GOT ROCKS IN HIS THROAT?!”
