Judd Apatow’s latest suburban comedy, This Is 40, comes out on December 21, 2012, and he’s put together an all-star soundtrack, including Wilco, Ryan Adams, Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, and Fiona Apple, who wrote a song specifically for the film. “Dull Tool” sounds like a b-side from Album of the Year-nominee The Idler Wheel…, and it’s not outlandish to imagine Apple appearing at the Academy Awards in February.
Hopefully with an octopus on head. Your move, Bjork. Hear “Dull Toll” below, via Consequence of Sound.

I didn’t care for it. Then again I also think LCD soundsystem are a way overrated, mediocre band, so I guess my tastes don’t exactly line up with those of the good folks of UPROXX(bring back matt!).
Alas, BRING BACK MATT likes LCD, but point still taken.
At least Action Bronson is something we can all agree on. Also, where is the Roc Marciano love that should be happening around here? The new record is amazing. Flatbush zombies? Uproxx needs a blog that covers indie type rap, badly.
Fiona is a geniunely compassionate and honest human being! Her entire opus is testament to that fact. Her new song “Dull Tool” is just the latest genius widget to emerge from her multifaceted brain and spirit. I’m gonna have a Fionathon tonite! And I’m calling into work sick tomorrow!
