Last night was The Colbert Report‘s final episode…of 2012, at least, and Stephen Colbert was feeling nostalgic. It was a good year for him, after all: he wrote a book, hosted a music festival, ran for president, and, to quote the man himself, “rigged our campaign finance system,” not to mention that whole running for Senate thing.
To celebrate and to close out the year, Colbert introduced a performance of “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Mavis Staples, the Harlem Gospel Choir, and Sean Lennon, whose mom you may have heard of. No clue who the father is.

I’m Jewish and i teared up near the end, well done sirs.
Cool ending last night. Tweedy rules
