In the music video for Dinosaur Jr.’s “Pierce the Morning Rain,” a single from their vibrating 2012 album I Bet On Sky, Maria Bamford plays the wife of James Urbaniak, a.k.a. the voice of Dr. Venture on The Venture Bros., who buys massive subwoofers for his car to listen to music at iPhone-shaking levels, which, in his mind, is akin to getting punched in the face by Henry Rollins, while in hers, it’s like being licked in the face by an adorable dog.
Yup, music video of the year. Of every year.
