The bad: Adam Levine is hosting Saturday Night Live.
The good: he won’t be singing.
The great: Kendrick Lamar will be the musical guest.
The Compton rapper, who basically owned 2012 with his magnificent good kid, m.A.A.d city, will showcase his talents on his biggest national showcase yet, during the January 26th episode of SNL. Is this Lorne Michaels (HUGE “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst” fan) way of softening the blow for when Justin Bieber is announced as a host? Probably, but it’ll be worth it for the “Bish Network” sketch I’ve already written in my mind.

Don’t get any ideas about future collaborations between Kendrick and Levine after this, Dre.
If any Voice coach is going to host, it should obviously be Cee Lo. Way to drop the ball, Lorne.
I’m not that familiar with Kendrick Lamar, but I am open to hearing his music on SNL. I wonder why the producers didn’t have Adam Levine stand as host and the musical guest. I’m sure that Kendrick will do fine. I’ll be working late at DISH the night the show airs, so I won’t be able to watch it on TV. Knowing this, I’ve set my DISH Hopper to automatically record the show. It is nice having this season of SNL as well as other seasons of my favorite shows on my DVR which can hold up to 2000 hours.
