As Josh pointed out earlier, the moment where Kathy Griffin went down and proceeded to kiss Anderson Cooper’s dong through his pants was a lovely New Year’s Eve moment. But if you turned off CNN past the dropping of the ball in Times Square, you missed what may have actually been the best moment of the night: Griffin and Cooper’s brief, awkward interview with Psy and MC Hammer.
The duo dropped by Cooper and Griffin’s elevated perch for literally a hot minute, where the following exchange ensued…
Griffin (to Psy): “There’s money coming out of your butt at this point.”
Psy: “Thank you, that means a lot coming from you.”
Cue the Silver Fox — who did not know MC Hammer was MC Hammer — losing his freaking mind over what was lost in translation between the two. Enjoy.

Didn’t know Hammer was a crip. Diamond-level, too, that’s impressive.
I think Psy meant to be grateful the fact the money is coming in from ‘you’ meant U.S. fan helping him to be where he is. This possible motive may clarify what seemed an awkward interview.
I’m guessing the only thing MC Hammer says to Psy is “SAVE YOUR MONEY, SAVE YOUR MONEY!” over and over again.
CNN is funnier than the Comedy Channel most days but they topped themselves when Griffin threatened to make it rain in the crowded square. I thought Cooper was going to break her arm.
Psy seems polite in his interviews. Kathy & Anderson might learn something here, the diversity in people’s background, when they are conversing.
