R. Kelly Recorded A Tribute Song For Victims Of Newtown Shootings

“I know you’re hurting/I hear you crying/But come tomorrow/There’s a place you can go/Find the blue skies/Hear the choir sing/Feel the power of a miracle.” So goes R. Kelly’s “I Know You Are Hurting,” a tribute song dedicated to those affected by the shootings in Newtown, CT, last month. Save for an occasional “yeah,” and showing rare restraint, Kells doesn’t actually sing on the track; he instead leaves that to a children’s choir, which, yeah.

All proceeds from the track, which can be purchased on iTunes, go to the families affected by what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
