Coachella’s 2013 Lineup Is Predictably Amazing

Like the ancient Chinese proverb says, “Any poster that has the Stone Roses, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lou Reed, Wu-Tang Clan, and Nick Cave in giant, bold letters is a good poster.” This particular poster just so happens to be for Coachella 2013, set to go down in Indio, California, from April 12-14 and again April 19-21. Highlights include:

Blur, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, the Stones Roses, Wu-Tang Clan, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, the Postal Service, Passion Pit, the xx, Sigur Rós, Vampire Weekend, How to Destroy Angels, New Order, Lou Reed, Modest Mouse, Grinderman, Of Monsters and Men, and Bassnectar.

Other notables include James Blake, Bat For Lashes, Johnny Marr, Beach House, Alt-J, Spiritualized, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, Local Natives, Yeasayer, Tegan & Sara, Social Distortion, Moby, Wild Belle, The Joy Formidable, Japandroids, Tame Impala, Rodriguez, Father John Misty, Two Door Cinema Club, Sky Ferreira, the Gaslight Anthem, Jessie Ware, Dinosaur Jr., Divine Fits, Aesop Rock, Two Door Cinema Club, Violet Femmes, Portugal., the Man, Father John Misty, the Faint, Pretty Lights, Puscifer, Foals, Youth Lagoon, and Stars. Many would-be concertgoers are, instead of getting ready to howl out the lyrics to “I Wanna Be Adored” and saluting the return of Jurassic 5, complaining about the Rolling Stones not being booked, though I’m most disappointed by the lack of Diplo on the Jerky Boys Stage. I guess we’ll have to SETTLE for the Postal Service.
