
As if inspired by VH1′s forthcoming biopic on TLC — and the fact that “TLC” has taken on some awful, terrible, no good, end-of-culture-as-we-know-it connotations lately, and needs to be reclaimed for The T-Boz — Fred Armisen, along with crush-worthy Marnie Stern, Sixpence None the Richer’s Leigh Nash, and members of Yo La Tengo and Les Savy Fav, covered the R&B group’s classic “Waterfalls” during a show this week in New York.
They seem to have genuine affection for the song. Then again, this could also be the first scene of any Portlandia episode.



I think it’s necessary for anyone who grew up through the 90′s (or any other decade i suppose) to go back and reevaluate the popular, easily dismissed music at the time. There’s a lot of great stuff I know I’ve overlooked, including this. It’s actually a great song.
