I’ve been saying for years that the guy is just super fun to listen to.
Dude’s spoken word is usually p fun.
Lol this is epic
Can anyone actually name a Henry Rollins song?
LIAR!
In my defense, Black Flag was never my thing. I went from Genesis to Poison to Immortal.
I always liked Disconnect. Civilized ain’t bad either. I have a handful of his spoken word CD’s…
Teardrops on My Guitar.
I’VE GOT DIAMONDS IN MY EYES
Rise above
Rise above!
TV Party
Damage
Shame is a fucking great song
Nope. Never heard of this guy…ahh….Henry who? Of course. I love Black Flag, saw The Rollins Band at the Brick by Brick in SD, saw him do a great spoken word show @ The Grand Sierra Resort in Reno…and read “Get in the Van”. Love Rollins. And even if i’d never heard of him before i saw this webpage i’d like him based on what he just showed me.
@RomanCandle
Black Flag’s TV Party
what about rollins on working out? “I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.” Where’s @ChetManley when you need a magnificent GIF
People sound surprised when he makes an intelligent comment because a) punk rock, and b) Rollins looks like he will murder you while singing children’s songs and not miss a beat.
Fucking cool.
He has a blog at LA Weekly and of course its pretty awesome: [blogs.laweekly.com]
Oh and he has a radio show at KCRW (best NPR station ever) that is only just barely eclipsed in its greatness by Jason Bentley’s Morning Becomes Eclectic.
Rollins 2016.
That is all.
“No woman *wants* to have an abortion…” that’s true, but only partly. I’m sure a woman who doesn’t want kids wants to have one, more than she wants to have kids. Otherwise, he’s spot-on with the rest.
Some women may well want to have kids, but that pregnancy puts their life in danger. Some may have conceived in traumatic situations. Some may not be able to afford looking after that kid. C’mon, let’s not be so reductive (Henry wouldn’t dig that).
I always liked Rollins, but I was more of a fan of his music rather than his spoken word stuff. His interviews were always interesting though
and to think this guy played a neo-nazi on SOA…
ACTING!
Definitely ACTING!
Has anyone seen the Batman Beyond episode he guest starred (voiced?) in? He plays a reactionary demolitions-expert supervillain. Pretty appropriate.
