Beyoncé And André 3000 Will Cover Amy Winehouse On The ‘Great Gatsby’ Soundtrack

At the very least, Baz Luhrman’s The Great Gatsby, which arrives in theaters on May 10th, is going to be a glorious mess. There will be Leonardo DiCaprio shouting! Stoically looking out windows! Tobey Maguire doing his best Pete Campbell impression! Prince and Lady Gaga songs! But not just Prince and Gaga songs…

E! News can exclusively reveal that “Single Ladies” hitmaker Beyoncé has teamed up with Andre 3000 for a duet of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” for the soundtrack of the upcoming remake of The Great Gatsby.

Jay-Z is producing the soundtrack, which will be released by Interscope Records. “It’s a very different take on ‘Back to Black,'” a record company source said. (Via)

“It’s so different that it’s actually a cover of ‘Back in Black’,” is how that quote should end. Still good, though.
