Steve Buscemi Sang A Song Through A Megaphone With Vampire Weekend On Easter

In a stark reminder that Boardwalk Empire won’t be back for many-a month, Internet hero Steve Buscemi put on his finest Nucky Thompson suit and took part in NYC’s Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival this weekend…with Vampire Weekend. Apparently, Buscemi is a distant cousin of the band’s bassist Chris Baio, who is also related to Scott Baio. It’s important to note all of this happened BEFORE April Fool’s Day. According to Pitchfork:

The band and Buscemi wore bunny ears and fancy hats and threw eggs into the crowd. They paraded down the street holding a banner making quite clear what was going on.

For his part, Buscemi performed a…let’s say, rudimentary version of Vampire Weekend’s new single “Diane Young” on an old-fashioned megaphone befitting of his top hat and tails. (Via)

It’s nice to know that even though the show’s off the air, some 30 Rock jokes remain alive.
