Bruce Springsteen Has A New Album Coming Out, So Here’s A New Song

Bruce Springsteen has announced the release of his 18th studio album, High Hopes, which may seem like an odd choice for a title at first. After all, Springsteen’s been recording music for so long, and has made so many classic albums, that he’d be forgiven if his next one was a dud. Hopes aren’t high that we’re getting another Darkness on the Edge of Town, but not all of them have to be stone-cold classics; he’s earned that right.

So, High-ish Hopes is due out on January 14, 2014, and will feature not only the existing E Street Band, but also contributions from Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello and deceased saxophonist Clarence “Big Man” Clemons. Here’s the title track, which is actually a cover of a Tim Scott McConnell song.
