All that time with David Byrne certainly had an effect on St. Vincent. Her latest, “Digital Witness,” taken from her upcoming album, St. Vincent, sounds like the Talking Heads as played by, or at least played for, robots. The horns, the jazz-funk, the deceptively still music video, all with a twitchy, futuristic spin. Robots like us.
