71 Ridiculous And Insane Craigslist Ads

A few years back, some friends and I discovered the joys of Craigslist from the perspective of immature pranksters after we had exhausted our favorite pastime of adding each other’s addresses to every boner pill and baldness cure mailing list on the face of the planet. Eventually, we determined that it was much more fun to post ads with specific personal information on Casual Encounters, specifically under the M4M, T4M, M4T, MM4M, and M4MM categories. Ah yes, those were the good old days.

Recently, though, we were outdone by a friend’s girlfriend who turned it up a notch on April Fool’s Day and posted a similar ad for her boyfriend that featured his telephone number. One hundred voice mails later, I realized that we’d wasted so much potential.

The moral of this story? There’s some seriously messed up stuff happening on Craigslist, but you probably already knew that. Regardless, for every prank that we played on Craigslist, there are many more ads that are serious and full of WTF moments. With that, and with the help of excellent sites like The Consumerist, Funny Craigslist Ads, The Telegraph, Geekologie, and of course the Best of Craigslist, I’ve assembled a collection of some of Craigslist’s finer moments.

(And I apologize in advance if a few of these are hard to read, as I have the eyes of a psychic bald eagle. Zoom in, it’s worth it.)
