Barack Obama

Barack Obama is the President-elect of the United States of America, and the first African American to be elected President of the United States. Obama was the junior United States Senator from Illinois from January 3, 2005, until his resignation on November 16, 2008, following his election to the presidency.

Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review. He worked as a community organizer, and practiced as a civil rights attorney in Chicago before serving three terms in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. He also taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. Following an unsuccessful bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, Obama was elected to the Senate in November 2004. Obama delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004. (via Wikipedia)

The Democrats Must Be Stopped

powerlineblog.com ( 5 Days ago )

There are several reasons why some people still don't understand the fiscal disaster that Barack Obama and the Democratic Party are visiting on our nation. The first is the sheer enormity of the numbers involved. It is hard for anyone really to comprehend the difference between "billion" and "trillion." The second is that we have been hearing about spending increases, deficits, [...]

Iowahawk compiles recent media reports conveying the deep thoughts of "White House insiders." He even rounds up one or two that you might have missed, such as the Highlights for Children scoop that "Joe Biden is Barack Obama's BFF!" and Iowahawk's more deeply sourced report suggesting that a reclusive Iowa blogger is the key to an Obama comeback. I hate to contradict Iowahawk, [...]

We already know that Barack Obama is an ignoramus when it comes to insurance. Beyond that, he believes that demagogic attacks on insurers are the way to drum up support for government medicine. It happened again today: Obama also offered his toughest criticism yet of a health insurance industry that he said placed profits ahead of patients. "Every year, they raise premiums higher [...]

Saturday Night Live: Zach Galifianakis With Vampire Weekend

videogum.com ( 10 Days ago )

Well, that was GREAT. Sure, the cold open about Barack Obama’s Health Care speech was a superdud, and there were a couple of other sketches that didn’t quite hit their marks (the kissing family in the funeral home was rocky at best, and I don’t think two guys kissing counts as a fully thought-out “joke”)

Who's A Terrorist Now?

powerlineblog.com ( 12 Days ago )

One of the key arguments of Barack Obama's Presidential campaign was that he would improve America's image around the world. This idea was based on the false assumption that anti-Americanism was due to factors peculiar to the Bush administration, as opposed to the basic realities of America's role in the world and the hostility that many feel toward our values and interests. Thus, [...]

With Sarah Palin being groomed by the Republican party to become the next president of the United States, and Barack Obama’s ratings slipping ever lower, it might be high time to prepare for the oncoming complete dissolution of the separation of church and state.
