somethin for the ladies…

Dimwitted pervert Brett Ratner is on St Barths today with some unknown daredevil who presumably lets him fumble around on top of her, and for her sake I hope she isn’t using any cocoa butter stuff on that tight young body of hers. You don’t want butter flavored skin when you’re trapped on

AVATAR REVIEWS ARE IN. PEOPLE LIKED IT.

via uproxx.com ( 60 Days ago )
James Cameron’s Avatar screened for critics yesterday and the reviews are starting to trickle in.  The general consensus seems to be that it’s good but kind of cheesy, like Brett Ratner’s nachos.  There were lots of Dances With Wolves comparisons.  Did you know that movie’s almost 20 years old?  I think I might try to date it. A dozen years later, James [...]

There are so many good ones coming out. Well done, Photoshopper. It's clear that more detail and craft are put into each of these than any of Brett Ratner's actual films (except possibly Money Talks). (Thanks for tipstering, Matt.)

via wired.com ( 120 Days ago )
The man who put X-Men on the movie map wants to make a few more mutant films. Bryan Singer directed X-Men and X2: X-Men United before passing the baton to Brett Ratner for X-Men: The Last Stand in order to make the less-than-super Superman Returns. Now Singer is talking to 20th Century Fox about returning to the X-Men franchise, he said during a panel at South Korea’s Pusan [...]

Bryan Singer Returning to X-Men Universe?

via cinematical.com ( 121 Days ago )
While X-Men: The Last Stand definitely has its fans, the primary consensus was that folks would've preferred X-Men and X2 director Bryan Singer behind the camera to complete the trilogy he started, which began with a very impressive origins film and continued with what some claim to be one of the greatest comic book films ever made. Unfortunately at the time, Singer gave up [...]

Last year there was even a rumor that Robert Downey Jr. was in very serious negotiations to take on the role of the father of the Playboy bunny. However, other than quick fleeting mentions of speculation it doesn't seem like [...]

DVD: Review:The Shooter Series Volume One: Director Brett Ratner

via avclub.com ( 146 Days ago )
What is it that makes a Brett Ratner film a Brett Ratner film? Unlike with other directors who've earned dicey critical reputations—Michael Bay, say, or Uwe Boll—the worst that can be said of Ratner is that he makes crassly populist movies, and that in interviews, he can be a bit of a blowhard. But while his work lacks subtlety, it’s hardly devoid of artistry. Ratner’s movies [...]
