CC SABATHIA

Carsten Charles "CC" Sabathia (born July 21, 1980, in Vallejo, California) is an American Major League Baseball starting pitcher for the New York Yankees. His contract with the Yankees is the richest contract for a pitcher in the history of baseball.

Sabathia played the first seven plus seasons of his career with the Cleveland Indians where he won the 2007 AL Cy Young Award, and played the second half of the 2008 MLB season with the Milwaukee Brewers, leading them to the NL Wild Card. (via Wikipedia)

Gibson On Workload Chatter : Give It A Rest

via cantstopthebleeding.com ( 19 Days ago )
The Yankees have already sent CC Sabathia and A.J. Burnett to the mound on 3 days rest in the 2009 World Series to varying degrees of success — heck, the allegedly gutless Cole Hamels will have to do the same if Philly advances to a seventh game on Thursday night. Tiring of such considerations of wear and tear, however, is Hall of Famer Bob Gibson, who asks the St. Louis Dispatch’s [...]

Glad to See Bud Selig Is Keeping Up with the Instant Replay Times

Outside of the brilliant pitching of Cliff Lee and CC Sabathia (add Rivera to the list?), the biggest topic of the MLB postseason has been the horrendous umpiring. Things started with Phil Cuzzi’s blown call on a Joe Mauer leadoff double against the Yankees in the ALDS. Then C.B. Bucknor blew a few calls in favor of the Angels against the Red Sox at first base in the ALDS. [...]

The Yankees were sending up their [...]

Brewers Considering Hiring Rick Peterson

by Pat LackeyFiled under: Brewers, NL CentralWith a full week of baseball left in the 2009 season, the current edition of the Milwaukee Brewers have already allowed almost 100 runs more than the playoff-bound 2008 edition. While a large amount of that difference can be chalked up to losing CC Sabathia and Ben Sheets, a more abstract difference for this Milwaukee team is the absence [...]

Honoring CC Sabathia's Fat
