CHRIS PAUL

Christopher Emmanuel Paul (born May 6, 1985 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina) is an American professional basketball player for the New Orleans Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He serves as team captain of the franchise. A solid 6 feet point guard, he has been proclaimed as one of the elite players in the world. His nickname "CP3" comes from family tradition, although Paul's initials and jersey number add up. He and Deron Williams, who is also considered as one of the premier point guards in the NBA, were selected back-to-back in the 2005 NBA Draft.

Since being drafted 4th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft, Paul has been named a NBA Rookie of the Year Award (2006), an All-Star, listed in both All-NBA and All-Defensive teams and led the Hornets to the second round of the 2008 NBA Playoffs. He has also won a Olympic Gold Medal with the United States national basketball team. (via Wikipedia)
