via ballhype.com ( 33 Days ago )
Angels fans have lost their freaking minds over the video below, which allegedly catches Yankees closer Mariano Rivera in the act of spitting on a baseball, right there in front of God and Joe Buck and 45,000 fans. The Angels won last night, incidentally, though you wouldn't know it from the ...No, You're a Towel found this 5 hours ago on deadspin.com Find more top sports [...]

Was that Pat Sajak?

via bugsandcranks.com ( 34 Days ago )
Joe Buck couldn’t even finish second-guessing Joe Girardi when Jeff Mathis won the game for the Angels. And then, all of a sudden, I cried out… Is that Pat Sajak? If I’m not mistaken, from left to right: Scott Boras, Jorge Posada, Jeff Mathis, some umpire who isn’t C.B. Bucknor, Pat Sajak. Pat Sajak? The host of Wheel of Fortune? Vanna White’s cohost [...]

Fridays with Artie Lange

Artie Lange is one of our favorite comedians. He’s hilarious on the Howard Stern show, and even if you don’t have Sirius, then you’re probably familiar with his work on Letterman, Conan, Beer League, or, perhaps most famously, the Joe Buck Show. We spoke to him a few weeks ago about an idea that would blend two of his great passions: Sports and picking games. So [...]

FOX Has Joe Buck Calling Yankees, Not NFL. Plus, Blackouts Galore.

via sportingnews.com ( 37 Days ago )
There's no doubt that football will always do a better number than baseball, even with FOX now entering the 2009 MLB Postseason party. According to Nielsen, last year's finale of World Series Game Five, FOX drew an average of 19.8 million viewers, which is close to the same rating FOX got for week one of the NFL season this year. Buck Returns To HBO, Minus The Only Thing That Made His Debut Watchable

via cantstopthebleeding.com ( 65 Days ago )
“I could not be more proud of our first show,” says Joe Buck of the premiere episode of “Joe Buck Live”, “from the moment I walked out on that stage till the moment I walked off.”  Buck’s opinion doesn’t seem to be shared by HBO exec Seth Greenberg, who considers Buck’s intereactions with comedian Artie Lang a foray into “dangerous [...]

Navy Place Kicker Buckley Settles Into Primary Role

via washingtonpost.com ( 68 Days ago )
Joe Buckley's first college field goal attempt wasn't a potential game-winner, but it still came with a certain amount of pressure. Navy was already trailing Louisiana Tech by 14 points when the junior place kicker lined up for a 43-yard field goal with 4 minutes 31 seconds left in the first quarter...

NY Post Finds A Man Uninterested In Baseball…

…and he’s not named Joe Buck.  “”If millionaires and billionaires can’t figure out a way to split their pie,” mused surrogate Joe The Plumber / steamfitter Joseph Barzelli to the Post’s Mike Vaccaro, “then they aren’t worth my time.”  To wit, Mr. Barzelli, a lifelong NY (baseball) Giants and Mets fan, bailed on the Grand [...]
