Howard's Slide Is Big Magic Problem

via fanhouse.com ( 11 Days ago )
by Tim PovtakFiled under: Cavaliers, Magic ORLANDO -- If Dwight Howard wants to keep that Superman moniker -- if he wants to deliver on his promise to bring an NBA title to Orlando -- he better turn his game up another notch real soon. Playing Shaquille O'Neal -- who is well past his prime and 14 years older -- to an uninspired standstill like he did Wednesday night won't get his [...]

Mo Williams: Cavs Will Get Better

via fanhouse.com ( 11 Days ago )
by Tim PovtakFiled under: CavaliersORLANDO -- Mo Williams just scoffed at the suggestion Wednesday afternoon that his Cleveland Cavaliers won't be as good this season because of the changes they made to the roster. The biggest change was adding center Shaquille O'Neal. The Cavs won a league-best 66 games last season before losing in the Eastern Conference final to the Magic, their [...]

via looseneck.com ( 11 Days ago )
Celebdom is like fashion ladies and gentlemen; one day you’re in, the next, you’re out. 2009? Well, let’s just say staying together wasn’t the new All Black Everything. Death however, now that was hot. But I digress. Yet another couple is headed for that love graveyard/pawn shop, better known as divorce court. Twitter’s biggest baller

Shaq Simply Can't Handle Howard

via fanhouse.com ( 11 Days ago )
by Tim PovtakFiled under: Cavaliers, Magic It's hard not to like Shaquille O'Neal, the most compelling NBA player of his era and arguably the best center in history. It's why there will [...]

Are the Jazz already playing must-win games? Was LeBron robbed of a late-game foul call? All that, plus Yacht Rock Crossfire, the case for Anthony Randolph and Wanker of the Week. Keep it nautical, basketball brethren, [...]

Greg Oden: A Taller Version of Ben Wallace?

via bleacherreport.com ( 21 Days ago )
When Greg Oden entered the NBA in 2007, many predicted he would emerge as the league's greatest center since Shaquille O'Neal. So far, that hasn't been the case. After missing his entire rookie season due to injury, Oden finally made his way onto the hardwood last season, finishing with averages of 8.9 points and seven rebounds per game. Those stats would have been ideal for an [...]

Original Old School: The Big Everything

via slamonline.com ( 21 Days ago )
Over the past decade, the style of basketball has evolved. Shaq and Dwight Howard are among the few remaining characters of a bygone era, where big men imposed their will on anyone who dared enter their paint. These days it’s about versatile wing-men or 7-footers stepping behind the three-point arc. However, let’s not forget where dominance was born, in the form of the [...]

by Jeff Fox Now who’s the first pick? Me, word is born and Not a Christian Laettner, not Alonzo Mourning. Shaquille O’Neal, What’s Up Doc (Can We Rock?) Don’t worry Shaq — these lyrics from your 1993 debut rap album still hold true today — you’re still at the top of the heap of the 1992 NBA Draft remix. In fact, Shaq is one of the few [...]

Shaq Finds True Love This Time

via sportingnews.com ( 44 Days ago )
Shaq has now been many places, and won many titles, or at least convinced teams they were in the hunt. But in the twilight of his career, when he's only a shadow of the dominant player he once was, he has found true love. Really, that's the explanation for his latest assessment of the Cavs, from the Akron Beacon Journal: ''Like I said before, one through 15, it's probably [...]
