Tila Tequila (born Tila Nguyen on October 24, 1981) is one of the new "online celebrities" of our generation. She has her own fashion line, an emerging music career, and various major endorsement deals but is mostly famous for her millions of viewers on MySpace.com. An ex-adult model, she claims she was a tomboy growing up.

Tila was born in Singapore but raised in Houston, Texas, with an older brother and sister. She is of Vietnamese and French heritage. She was a tomboy growing up and endured many things, including doing drugs, running away from home, a three-way relationship, being in a gang, using a fake ID card, getting sent to a boarding school for a few months, and identity crisis.

She claims her career began at eighteen when she moved to Hollywood and was "discovered" at a local mall. Since then, her career has taken off and many photos of Tila can be found on the internet. She even has her own reality love show a la Flavor of Love and I Love New York, with both men and women fighting for her heart. The show plays on MTV and is called "A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila". She got the name "Tila Tequila" when she was in high school and had a bad experience with tequila. Her friends then began to call her "Tila Tequila", and the name stuck.
