I'm not usually one for fan tribute songs, for whatever reason, but this since I'm a lover of all things Freeks and Geeks and since John Francis Daley's portrayal of Sam Weir -- the underdog guy always pursuing his dream girl while remaining loyal to his geek friends -- was something I could always relate to even though I was never really a "geek," Allie Goertz's tribute to Sam Weir above truly touched my cold, black heart, and it probably will touch yours too.

While driving around yesterday, I heard my second favorite song from the Bad Boys II soundtrack on the radio, “Shake Ya Tailfeather” by Nelly, P.

Over the weekend, Judd Apatow moderated a panel at PaleyFest -- AKA "Comic Con for TV Nerds" -- that reunited the cast of "Freaks and Geeks," the critically acclaimed (but quickly canceled) NBC show that helped launch the careers of Seth Rogen, James Franco, and Busy Phillips.

When a television show goes off the air after only one season we are left with some pretty big and unanswerable questions: Where do TV shows come from.

PaleyFest is basically ComicCon for TV geeks, so TV geeks will be thrilled to know that the next PaleyFest will honor both "The Walking Dead" and Judd Apatow's cult favorites "Freaks and Geeks" and "Undeclared" by reuniting the casts of the one-and-done shows.

Here's an update to my quest to battle a celebrity in ping pong next week: the good news is that people have very generously donated $295 to my cause, the wonderful 826NYC.
