Tonight "Community" is running three episodes culminating in the season finale.

If you've read a single post on Warming Glow over the last month, then you likely already know that "Community" is set to return tonight on NBC.

Just when I thought my anticipation level for Community's return a week from today couldn't get any higher (what, with the animated webisodes, Dark Knight/Prometheus mashups, and promise of more Alison Brie GIF-able moments and all) the evil geniuses behind the show go and air their own teaser trailer for the return of the study group during the Soup and create a level of excitement I haven't experienced since "getting to second base" was explained to me.

Over on The Daily Beast, the women of NBC's "Community" -- including one of its female writers, Megan Ganz -- sat down to discuss the return of "Community" and what it was like to produce episodes in a vacuum (production on season three wrapped up during the hiatus).

It's been weeks since we've featured any new work from our friend Jon Defreest, which seems like a travesty, so I'm happy to present this Community meets Return of the Jedi poster mashup he's crafted to celebrate the glorious return of the group to Thursday nights, starting March 15th.

This is an entirely healthy means of celebration.

In mid-November, NBC Britta'd their whole schedule by pulling Community from their midseason lineup and putting it on hiatus, with questions about whether it would ever be renewed.

We've spent a lot of time around these parts -- even before the shelving news and consequent grief recovery session -- outlining how and why Community is light years ahead of its counterparts when it comes to pop culture ambition and respecting the intelligence of its audience.
