Just last week we were saying John Carter may lose as much as $165 million for parent company Disney.

John Carter may be on track to be the biggest box-office disaster of all time, but that doesn't mean the movie doesn't have its fans.

So, in its opening weekend John Carter raked in approximately 30-million in North America and 70-million overseas.

This weekend was a bad one for anybody hoping to see more pulpy space opera on screens: "John Carter" got pretty thoroughly thumped at the box office, grossing $30 million and coming in second to "Hollywood Gives Dr.

John Carter opens this Friday, so Disney has released a ten-minute clip to show us this is a badass movie, and they decided to accomplish this by including the part at the beginning with Bryan Cranston in it.

Disney's John Carter opens March 9th, but you'd barely know that from how little they've promoted it or explained what the hell the movie is about.
