A recent study revealed that because of the popularity of Pabst Blue Ribbon within the hipster community, the prices of sub-premium beers are on the rise.

Today in news that I did not expect but that makes perfect sense for reasons unknown to me: the Pabst Corporation, the people who make PBR, might be the savior for all you Twinkies lovers out there.

Gran Torino hit theaters at the end of 2008, and I enjoyed the jocular use or racial slurs as much as anyone, but I guess PBR didn't have quite the hipster connotation that it does now because I don't remember anyone making the easy "Clint Eastwood is way better at drinking PBR than hipsters" connection back then.
