The 2012 Game Developers Conference is happening now, and French game company Quantic Dream of Heavy Rain fame have released a demo of their new motion capture engine.

Hey, remember when George Hotz cracked the PS3, and Sony went about shutting him down in a heavy-handed way, and Anonymous threw a hissy fit because a large corporation being upset that some hacker was setting up their games to be pirated was Not OK, so they shut down the entire PlayStation Network.

It's pretty much inevitable: a neat gizmo comes out for some gaming consoles, and hackers immediately get to work combining them with other gizmos on consoles they were never intended for.

Last month Sony successfully got a temporary restraining order against George Hotz (Geohot) for posting a PS3 jailbreak online, which makes this new development all the more delicious.
