Earlier this week, ABC greenlit a pilot for Courteney Cox to be called “The New Adventures of Old Monica” “Cougar Town.” Oh man. I do not have a good feeling about this.
“Cougar Town” stars Cox as a 40ish woman with a teenage son who finds herself single and dating again. The show grew out of Cox’s guest stint on “Scrubs” earlier this season. Lawrence wrote the pilot with fellow “Scrubs” scribe Kevin Biegel.
Can we all agree that the MILF phenomenon has jumped the cougar? I’d rather watch a show on Animal Planet called Pumaville. Or Mountain Lion County. Or Polecat City. What I’m trying to say is, I get sexually aroused at the zoo.

It would be better if this were a reality survival gameshow where they put a bunch of middle aged sluts in a deserted Wyoming ghost town and then release the cougars. Or panthers, if they can’t get enough cougars. I’m not a stickler for taxonomy.
