Chevy Chase has never been cast in a full-time gig during primetime, but that will change this fall.  Chase will co-star in NBC’s “Community” with “Soup” host Joel McHale about students at a community college.  The “SNL” and “Chevy Chase Show” vet will play a five-time divorcé.  **crosses fingers, hopes for the Fletch Chevy Chase** [THR]

Get ready for zany!  FOX NFL analyst and former Giants defensive end Michael Strahan will star in “Brothers,” about — get this — a former NFL player! Whew!  Someone in Hollywood isn’t getting paid enough.  In the sitcom, Strahan’s character returns home to reconnect with his family after his brother is paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair.  Hilarious!  [Variety]

Other notables: Henry Rollins gets a six-episode arc on “Sons of Anarchy.”  Try to guess whether he’ll play a gentle family man or a “deadly threat.” … Sassy Jennifer Esposito of the virtually unwatched “Samantha Who?” will have a multiple-episode arc early in Season 3 of “Burn Notice,” which is filming now and set to debut in June.  Yay!  “Burn Notice” news!  Now “Burn Notice” fans can stop harrassing me about not writing about “Burn Notice.”  “Burn Notice”!!!!
