JIMMY KIMMEL SEEMS TO BE HANDLING IT WELL

Break-ups are brutal, awful events for everyone involved, so I can only imagine the kind of darkly comic self-loathing it took for Jimmy Kimmel to appear on “The View” today dressed in drag as Rosie O’Donnell — just after he and Sarah Silverman broke up a second time.

Asked what happened, Kimmel said, “What do you think happened? I’m a 41-year-old man with a bra filled with Koosh balls. I’m an imbecile. She couldn’t date an imbecile anymore.”

I have to hand it to Kimmel — this kind of appearance is either a sign of comedic genius or a clue to his impending suicide.  But he definitely shouldn’t kill himself.  Unlike most chubby 41-year-old single guys, Kimmel’s rich and famous in Hollywood.  He’s a snap of the fingers away from some sexy blonde half his age.  That’s why I can’t wait ’til I’m 40 — I can finally date women half my age.  Publicly, I mean.
