As one might expect (or have gleaned from watching Rachel Ray mushroom into a planetesimal), people who work on TV cooking shows are prone to packing on the pounds. This too is the case with even the very attractive lissome personalities, like “Top Chef” host and judge Padma Lakshmi.
Each season, Ms. Lakshmi, 38, keeps two dress sizes on the set for when the weight starts to pile on: she is 5-foot-9 and typically she puts on 10 to 15 pounds a season.
“I just try to cut myself a break — I know I’m going to gain weight,” she said. “In my job, I eat the most when I’m working the most.”
Hey, lady, if you think that’s bad, try your hand at blogging. Hours and hours of sedentary labor, Cheesy Bites your only consort, General Tso’s chicken your only source of solace. Masturbation only burns so many calories. Pants size, however, is shockingly not a concern because obviously we don’t wear them. They’d just soak up the cum, er, soy sauce stains anyways.

I’m rooting for Top Chef to win the Emmy so Padma can give her acceptance speech, “You Lakshmi, you really Lakshmi.”
I would be more than happy to take some of that weight off her hands.
Like, really big handfuls.
I hope she gets morbidly obese and bedridden so that i might finally have a shot.
