Oprah begins her new season next week with the first televised interview of Whitney Houston since 2002. In that interview, Houston denied ever doing crack. In this one, she reverses course and is all, “hell yeah I did crack.”
She admits – for the first time – that she became addicted to crack in the 1990s during her marriage to Bobby Brown… At one point [Houston] says, ‘I didn’t get out of my pyjamas for seven months’.
Oprah said Whitney… traces her drug troubles back to 1992 movie The Bodyguard. [Sun]
I admit, that’s impressive. I take a lot of pride in not wearing clothes, but even I could never hope to go seven months in my pajamas. My alcoholism is just too functional. I’d have to sink pretty low to go half a year without pants. Like, I’d have to star in a Kevin Costner movie and marry someone who recorded “My Prerogative” before — ohhhhhhhhh. Now I get it.
