Matt LeBlanc, best known for playing Joey Tribiani in the hit series “Joey,” will return to TV in a joint venture between Showtime and the BBC called “Episodes.”
The show takes a satirical look at American television, when a British couple’s successful comedy series gets transformed into a dumb American sitcom, starring LeBlanc…
“I am really excited to be working with Showtime and the BBC,” LeBlanc said. “And I am so glad I got the part, seeing someone else play Matt LeBlanc would have been devastating.” [NYDN]
I guess this sounds okay, but I just don’t know. The original British version is so much better, you know? **sips white wine**

when a British couple’s successful comedy series gets transformed into a dumb American sitcom,
So it’s a documentary about “The Office”?
Matt wears those glasses to keep his talent from blasting all of us.
Who would want to watch a show about the making of Hank?
Eh, needs some Gunther…or Tom Selleck.
“OH SWEET, MATT LEBLANC IS BACK”
Did he ever really go away?
Those two look like they’ve been in a time machine.
Except he arrived from 2020 and she from 1980.
I hope in this show he bangs Charlie from Young Guns’ sister, like he did in red shoe diaries.
So it’s a documentary about “The Office”?
Actually, it sounds more like a documentary about “Coupling,” a delightful Britcom that was made into a trainwreck of crapulence by NBC. Oddly enough, “Coupling” was essentially a British effort at copying “Friends.”
And so goes the circle of life.
Matty forgot to wear his Old Navy Tech Vest.
I knew him because of Red Shoe Diaries, I could have beat BDD record back then.
“Coupling” made me hate Britcoms. My brother and his retarded friend watched practically every fucking episode of that POS series on full blast in my college apt, at the expense of my ability to study or sleep or be anywhere in said apt without wanting to kill.
Lesson being, don’t Americanize a show that sucked hard to begin with.
