Collusion is built into the American cable television business. If all you really want is HBO, AMC, and Comedy Central, you’re also paying for ESPN, HGTV, TLC, etc., etc. If this ever changes, it’ll probably be because the entire nature of television changes. Consumer advocacy groups have tried to get the business to allow things like a la carte channel selection, but despite the rise of real competition in the form of satellite TV, it isn’t happening.
But hey, look what the Germans are doing.
German antitrust watchdogs raided the offices of ProSiebenSat.1 and RTL on Wednesday on suspicion that the two television broadcasting giants colluded on the pricing and form of distribution for their HD channels.
Allow me to provide a healthy amount of staid analysis of the American television paradigm. You see, the oh screw it here’s a pretty cool scene from Die Hard:

Capitalism was dead in American long before we elected that Commie Obama.
The watchdogs have a machine gun now. Ho. Ho. Ho.
Come out to Germany, we’ll get together, have a few laughs
I thought the less popular cable stations paid the cable companies to include them in packages.

ALso, one of the guys who set up that rocket launcher also played Vigo in Ghostbusters 2.
Ach! Das wagen phone ist ein nuisance phone!
When Germans do play, it is always efficient and full of Jew-hate.
I think Collusion is the old name of Comcast.
Why is this dubbed in Klingon?
Hans…..BOOBY….I’m your white knight!
