Bam Margera, the Jackass star who starred in MTV’s “Viva La Bam” spin-off, was hit in the head with a baseball bat wielded by a 59-year-old woman early Saturday morning. He was treated at a nearby hospital, where he unfortunately survived and was later released.
Margera was assaulted early Saturday morning following a noise complaint at The Note, the bar that Margera owns in his hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth Ray, who lives on the same block as the bar, attacked Margera with a bat at around 2 a.m. on Saturday.
She was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault and two counts of reckless endangerment. She posted $10,000 bail shortly after her arrest.
Ray professed her innocence to the Philadelphia Daily News, claiming that Margera used racial slurs during their initial argument about the noise. “He called me the n-word,” she said. “I’m innocent, and he’s a jackass, just like his movies.” [MTV]
I’m not a lawyer, so I can’t tell if someone is innocent of assault after they admittedly hit someone in the head with a baseball bat, but I know enough that this Elizabeth Ray person is an American hero. Anyone who attacks Bam Margera with a baseball bat shouldn’t be charged with a crime; they should be given a $1000 reward. Maybe even a parade if they swing hard enough.

Margera was later quoted as saying, “This type of random assault should never be tolerated. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to videotape myself slapfighting my father while he’s taking a shit.”
They caught one assailant, but Margera’s tattoo artist and stylist are both still at large.
This could have all been avoided if Don Vito didn’t nail her ten year old granddaughter.
Obviously she was testing to see how he got his name.

Since she actually hit him it’s battery, it would have been assault merely by making him feel that she would hit him. In any case it’s more fun to say he was battered by an old lady.
