This awesome video is a preview for “Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time” on Comedy Central, currently slated for an October premiere. Swardson debuted this skit — “Wheelchair Cat: Trust Fund Kitty” — as well as some new “Gay Robot” material at Comic-Con, and that should be reason enough to get excited for the show even if you’re unfamiliar with his work as Terry on “Reno: 911!” (watch a Gay Robot sketch here).
I mean, come on: It’s a cat in a wheelchair that talks by typing on a keypad like Stephen Hawking. If that doesn’t butter your muffin, then you can just get the hell out of here and never come back. Because I don’t know about you, but I’ve been waiting all my Internet life for someone to combine the inherent humor of cats with the guilty delight of handicapped jokes. What a time to be alive!

Swardson is hilarious. Was great in Grandma’s Boy. If you haven’t seen this, check it out.

Wow, just wow. Just watched the Mr. Stitches video. Fucking gold.
Wheelchair cat is undeniably funny, but Nick Swardson relies heavily on a phony lisp for cheap laughs, which depresses me more than amuses me.
An adorable, robot-voiced kitty using clever insults? I love this so much it hurts.
@Patty, not to mention he loves the ladies and coke.
Does Wheelchair Kitty rely on a handicapped litter box?
@Enrico – and, if so, do the other kitties sneak in there and use it because of the nice space?
I’ll give in a 8 — tremendous concept, but I couldn’t help wishing they had used an actual robotic voice rather than just Swarsdon doing a robot voice.
That was funny until I watched it.
wow. i had such high hopes and then it happened and now i’m in emotional turmoil for hating swardson’s fat face and a kitty in a wheelchair.
I know I might be missing the point, but if he spent all his inheritance on his medical bills, how is he “Trust Fund Kitty” and living it up in da club?
Was I supposed to get an erection?
@ Ben
I agree, I was thinking, “how could he have spent the entire inheritance on medical bills in one scene and in the next be signing a huge check over to charity”
Nonetheless, I love it
Can’t wait for this to come out!! Nick Swardson is hilarious and the very funny Melinda Hill. Check out some of her stand-up!
