Sons of Anarchy (FX) — The long-awaited Season 3 premiere. I say that this is one of the three best shows on television, along with “Breaking Bad” and “Mad Men.” That means the esteemed Alan Sepinwall must be right, because he says the same thing in his early (and very positive) review of Season 3. (pre-Lobster Dog image credit goes to Dominique Van Steeden)
Louie (FX) — Season finale. I was going to be sad about this season ending, but “SOA” returning really takes that sting away. (As does last week’s episode about God — I’ve been a huge proponent of the show all along, but that episode was too dark without the redemptive final scene of the bully episode.)
White Collar (USA) — Summer finale. This is on at the same time as “Sons of Anarchy,” and therefore does not exist.
UPDATE to the Crying Don Draper meme: Reader Stephen points out that Sad Don Draper now has his own single-serving Tumblr page that includes several commenter contributions to Warming Glow’s original post. I really just wanted to point this out because I love Grimey’s Dawson & Draper image.

I’ve never watched an episode of SOA. Is it worth it to watch tonight or is this one of those shows where I need to start at the beginning?
What doesn’t make Don Draper cry?

also, white collar comes on at 9pm on usa, so its the perfect lead-in to sons of anarchy.
not to mention, a new 30for30 documentary about tupac and tyson on espn at 8pm
Sorry, I didn’t do any Sad Don Draper Photoshops because I was too busy making this:

@CaliCheese: I managed to enjoy the second season without watching the first, you may miss a few finer plot points but the overall awesome will offset that.
My night tonight:
Porn, nazis, kidnapping children, running guns, a beef with the IRA, and excessive drinking.
Which means I guess I’ll have to TIVO Sons of Anarchy.
After seeing that Sister Wives post, I’m not sure Louie’s episode on religion was dark enough. Couldn’t one of those families move to Charming?
Riding through this world…all alone.
/Lobster Dog will eventually replace Piney
I’d gladly comfort Don Draper.
You know what I mean.
I actually loved the god episode of Louie. I found it so dark and mesmerizing. I was glad they didn’t try to do a humorous skit at the end. Maybe i’m just f’ed up.
Caught that Louie episode twice. First time I was waiting for the funny, but after it was done I wanted to watch again, to appreciate why all comics are so f’d up.
@CaliChesseSucks Sons is an awesome show I unfortunately missed season 2 but no, you do not have to watch it from the beginning its fairly easy to catch on to the gist of the show but it does help.
Fuck yeah SoA is back!
OMG! us here in oz will have to wait till early jan 2011 for it to air on pay tv, dont know why i bother!
