Terriers (FX) — Series debut. Despite a good pedigree, FX did this show no favors with a less-than-inspiring name and a series of promos that elicited almost zero interest. I didn’t see a single “Terriers” promo I liked until last night’s “Sons of Anarchy.” But don’t overlook it: Hitfix’s Alan Sepinwall calls the show “terrific” in his review.
Hellcats (CW) — Series premiere. Despite this being the same old cheerleader story we’ve seen a million times, the word is that this is a fresher take than usual. Just keep your eyes on star Aly Michalka’s stomach. I don’t like to use the term “butterface,” but… I don’t know how to finish that sentence.
Psych (USA) — Franke Potente guest stars as a spy. Hey, remember Run Lola Run? Frankly, I think the best possible ending would have been her hanging up the phone, going to bed, and letting her doofus boyfriend Manni get killed.
Hard Knocks (HBO) — Season finale. An awesome way to get revved up for tomorrow night’s NFL opener. As always, be sure to catch the live-blog over at Kissing Suzy Kolber.
Top Chef (Bravo) — This is part 1 of a two-part finale. Who will win? No, seriously, I don’t know. I haven’t been watching.
Black Gold (TruTV) — Season premiere. Like “Ice Road Truckers,” it’s a stupid reality series that follows the lives of blue-collar workers. It’s better than “Real Housewives,” but not by much.

Watched The Patriot this weekend and couldn’t help but think that Donal Logue was the least convincing militia-man of all time.
Terriers and Hellcats? Is this a continuation of the puppy suit/cat hat post?
Either way, I’d be happier if the shows were about literal terriers and kitties.
Can someone come over and find theCW on my TV? Bring beer…and penicillin.
Aly Michalka a butterface? You’re out of your fucking mind.
Goddamn is it really the finale of Hard Knocks already? Only 5 episodes? WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I bought way too much snacks
Donal Logue has been in more canceled series than John Stamos.
Black Gold pairs well with blood diamonds.
What Erik said
Erik, Dilly you serious? Look at that fucking face:

Donal Logue is good…The winner of Top Chef will be Ed…
Wait, isn’t that other guy the second male lead from Grounded for Life, starring Donal Logue? Should we check to make sure that still isn’t from that show?
Quit crying Angelo, you Tony Robbins-listening bitch.
Terrier was good…Yes Donal Logue has been in a lot of shows that were canceled, but it wasn’t him that sucked…@dchuck, I was thinking there was a strong resemblance with his costar from Grounded for Life (good show but storylines started getting stale, GO BRAD!!…)…Angelo is an affected, pretentious douche! Go ED!!!…(or Kevin!)
