30 Rock (NBC) — It’s the much-ballyhooed live episode. Jon Hamm and Matt Damon are scheduled to guest star, and apparently, Tracy Morgan wants to break character and make other people laugh. Or maybe it’s Tracy Jordan? I dunno, it’s hard to tell any more.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Bravo) — Series premiere. I looked at a couple of reviews, and it sounds as if though this one has faker-looking women who are less annoying than their New York and New Jersey counterparts.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX) — The Gang goes to a public swimming pool.
Youth Town Hall (MTV, BET, CMT) — Barack Obama gets a commercial-free hour to talk to young people. But how will I know it’s politics if no one’s shouting at me?
The Office (NBC) — Michael gets back in touch with all of his ex-girlfriends, including Jan (Melora Hardin) and Holly (Amy Ryan).
The Vanilla Ice Project (DIY) — Series premiere. Twenty years after the release of To the Extreme, Ice shares the secret of his post-music career financial success: he’s been “cashing in on buying property and flipping houses for years.” Mandatory viewing for MC Hammer. (quote from USA Today)

I’ve been disappointed with Always Sunny this season. It feels like they’ve either been lazy with the writing or they want their show to be different. Humor seems a lot more forced. Somewhat unrelated, Bored to Death has become my favorite comedy on TV. I have no one else to share this with since none of my friends like either of those shows to begin with. So thanks for listening.
@Lil’WayneChrebet:I thought that for the first couple eps. but I think it’s gone back to it’s badass self (but that last one with Mac at the hockey game wasn’t that great)…also, I kinda thought that with The League, but I can see now that they are trying to get it a little more into their lives (I think)…but I miss Shiva (both the trophy and the hot woman). Can’t wait for 30 Rock tonight!
Live for you assholes. Those of us mountain types get the shaft.
At least our chicks are hotter.
@Lil’ Wayne Chrebet: Yes. It’s still funny, but does seem a little forced. I liked the boat episode a lot, and would love to keep typing but I’m getting hungry for some Subway, or maybe a delicious meal at Dave and Buster’s.
I’d love to see a 60-Minutes special in a few years about all of the people who have become millionaires by following the “Too Cold Real Estate System”.
The Office — Only morons find this funny.
@the mountain timezone: You’re not missing anything. The live episode of 30 Rock is awful so far.
This episode of 30 Rock fucking suuuuuuuucked.
30 Rock tonight was a perfect example of why live audiences/laughtracks don’t work for these types of shows. It felt like a 30-minute SNL skit, and nobody wants to see that.
Tonight’s live episode was by far the weakest 30 Rock of the season, but would have been the best episode of SNL in years.
E Pluribus Anus?
Drop the split level and get with the duplex!
Word to your mortgage
I come for the corgis.. I leave because of the lack of the FRINGE love.
I come for the cats. I leave because of the use of “ballyhooed”.
Just watched 30 Rock Live on my dvr it was really good you just weren’t gin’d enough
30 Rock (west coast, didn’t see east coast version yet) was funny. Liked the current event jokes and the Jack and his booze stuff, but didn’t like Tracy Jordan, now that was some forced attempted comedy.
I leave because it’s the end of the day and time to go home from work. I come back the next day because I need a paycheck and this distracts me from my lame existence.
“I’d love to see a 60-Minutes special in a few years about all of the people who have become millionaires by following the “Too Cold Real Estate System”.”
I’m guessing it involves investing in A1A BEACHFRONT AVENUE!!
