Following last week’s Scarlett Johansson’s episode, Anne Hathaway will host this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” (watch her promos here), but in December the show will return to the standard of a white male lead, with Robert DeNiro, Paul Rudd, and Jeff Bridges set to host.
First up on Dec. 4: host Robert De Niro and musical guest Diddy-Dirty Money (made up of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Kalenna Harper and Dawn Richard).
On Dec. 11: host Paul Rudd and musical guest Paul McCartney.
On Dec. 18: host Jeff Bridges and musical guest Eminem. [Orlando Sentinel]
I could give a crap about DeNiro, since the guy in who was in Raging Bull and The Godfather: Part II was killed and replaced with a doppelganger who does Frank Caliendo’s DeNiro impression in the Focker movies.
But man oh man, Paul Rudd and Jeff Bridges? I’m not sure who I’m more excited about: the single most likable comic actor in Hollywood, or the Dude. Because Paul Rudd has a way of making simple phrases much funnier than they are (“Slappin’ da bass”; “Nude Tayne“), but the Dude, well… The Dude abides.

Sweet baby Jesus, that gif is hypnotic. I could just watch it all… day…
That GIF is overflowing with abide.
I love that GIF. More here: [iwdrm.tumblr.com]

That’s just like….your opinion, man.
I can never keep Jeff Bridges and Jeff Daniels straight. One of them is The Dude and the other owns the greatest poop in movie history. They should make a movie together.
that couch is only 5ft long
If Bridges does The Dude it’ll either be the greatest SNL sketch since Hans and Franz or it’ll ruin an iconic figure in American culture.
Spin the wheel…
the dude DOES abide.
