Jeff Bridges hosted "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, but the highlight of the show came from the digital short, a debut of Lonely Island's "I Just Had Sex" featuring Akon (the first single off
of Lonely Island's second album). Considering that the YouTube video has been viewed almost three million times in two days, I'd say that people might kind of like this song.
Anyway, the Dude did okay. I thought he was a little underused (I would have liked to have seen more of his Nick Nolte in the Miley Cyrus sketch), but all in all it seemed like the writers and cast decided to try this week. Of course, I was drunk when I watched it, so who knows. Click through for the highlights.
Merry Crunkmas, everybody: there's finally a sequel to Kickspit. Juggalo jokes always work for me.
This sketch didn't deliver any huge laughs for me, but I love the concept.
I'm including this in the highlights merely because it's a cold open I didn't fast forward through. Probably because it's less than three minutes instead of the usual agonizing six.
I can't explain it, but this annoying impression of annoying people is somehow funny to me.
What I call this is not as good as the Wonderful Life sketch with Dana Carvey.
This is proof that the funniest impressions aren't necessarily the most accurate ones. Taran Killam's Brad Pitt isn't much more than a loose caricature, but it absolutely killed me.
It's fun to see Stefon interact with other characters. "This is fun, drunk leopard."

Has Andy Samburg ever heard of a toothbrush?
This was a good short, the ep. was pretty good, the worst part had to be the “Jeff’d” sketch.
Remember, “people might kind of like this song” doesn’t mean it’s remotely good or funny. I rarely accuse comedy of being juvenile, but this can’t appeal to anyone over age 14, can it?
I know Sundays is for football, but is there any chance we could start getting the post SNL commentary on Sundays?
I think the best sketch with Bridges had to be that gay cowboy thing. I could watch that for a solid hour and just crack up. Not neccesarilly the gift wrapping thing, but put the gay cowboy in different old west scenarios. Gold.
Enjoy the Kardashian sketches now. You know that wall will be broken down tooth sweet. Also, I’d love to see the time frame on Joe Biden’s inevitable appearance. I think I’m way too fixated on this idea now. Thanks, Matt.
Samberg’s digital shorts are always the same (as you mentioned last week). I’m desensitized to having whatever hip hop artist I’ve heard of this week being on at this point.
This was actually the third installment of the Kickspit skit. There was one before Miracles.
Hader as Assange makes me laugh.
We need a gif of alba bouncing up and down at the 2:30 mark.
I thought of a way to make the digital short 100x funnier: have Justin Bieber sing it.
No, I’m not letting this go. The only joke is the title of the song.
They should have titled this episode Lazy Saturday
Could have used more Lloyd Bridges…is he even alive anymore? I picked the wrong day to stop huffing glue.
I’m pretty sure I automatically like anything that has Blake Lively in it now.
that’s nothing. i spent the first half-hour feeling sorry for him because his brother had gone mad and moved to canada.
Hey it’s Enrico Pallazzo!
I laughed the hardest for Bill Hader and his ‘scary Assange/ international supervillain’ and for some reasons the whole ‘Jeff’d’ thing blew the funny bones out of my body. Maybe its because its just Jeff Bridges and he’s awesome and laid back… yup that’s the only reason it was funny. Andy Sandberg makes me laugh when he’s happy!
