PaleyFest is basically ComicCon for TV geeks, so TV geeks will be thrilled to know that the next PaleyFest will honor both “The Walking Dead” and Judd Apatow’s cult favorites “Freaks and Geeks” and “Undeclared” by reuniting the casts of the one-and-done shows.
AMC freshman favorite The Walking Dead will be honored at the 28th annual event, while the casts of Judd Apatow’s Freaks & Geeks and Undeclared will also be feted. American Idol and True Blood will also return to the festival. [The Live Feed]
Apatow’s critically acclaimed but little-watched shows helped launch the careers of Seth Rogen, Jason Segal, James Franco, Charlie Hunnam (Jax from “Sons of Anarchy”), and, unfortunately, Jay Baruchel. Of course, “Freaks and Geeks” famously cast actual teenagers to play teenagers, and it portrayed high school in all of its honest pain and cruelty and awkwardness, which is probably why it got canceled so quickly.
Anyway, PaleyFest will be in the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills from March 4-18. For the safety of TV dorks, I have no intention of attending.

“Freaks and Geeks” > “Heavyweights” > “Undeclared”
Having a Paleyfest without Matt Ufford is like having a Rapeyfest with Ben Roethlisberger. Simply inexcusable.
*without Roethlisberger.
OR LIKE HAVING A RETARDEYFEST WITHOUT PEPESILVIA!
Boy, rough day for Jay Baruchel on Warming Glow…
Freaks and Geeks, the story of high school outcasts, had the challenge of launching right after Columbine.
Jay Baruchel is the 2010 version of French Stewart. That is obviously not a compliment.
What I really wanna know is if there’s gonna be a PaceyFest across the street.
Those were both awesome shows.
Undeclared had one of the best exchanges on television between Marshall and his Japanese girlfriend. “You make no sense!”
