After keeping pictures and video of “Game of Thrones” largely under wraps since production started, HBO has released this 10-minute behind-the-scenes look at the TV-ization of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novels. Even if you don’t have HBO or aren’t
interested in fantasy series, the video is worth it to watch nerdy ship captain George R.R. Martin, who looks like a cross between Bruce Vilanch and a movie blogger.
I have to say, though, this looks like it’s going to be good. I have a hard time sticking with fantasy books because the creation of the fictional world can be tedious to read (see: the songs about trees and mystical forest crap in Lord of the Rings that drag on for three pages), an annoyance that doesn’t carry over to the screen. Plus, the attention to detail looks excellent, and the cast looks promising, as well, including veteran actors like Sean Bean, Peter Dinklage, and Lena Headey (whose breasts you may remember from 300 — NSFW). Here’s my math: source material with sex and violence + actors who are cool with nudity = me watching. Every time.

Hehehe, a short guy named Dinklage!
Slightly more faithful adaptation than my old folks home production, “Game Of Crohn’s”.
Probably less boring than my idea for a reality show about tow truck drivers called “Game of Zones”.
Not to be confused with the World Cup drama “Game of Throw-Ins.”
Also may be slightly less nerdy than the Sci-Fi original “Game of Pwns”
George R.R. Martin writes some truly scary/creepy stories. If he has some creative input, this may be an interesting series. If it has boobies, it will be even better.
Tiger Woods sexploits chronicled in Game of Moans.
George R.R. Martin looks like a cross between Guillermo Del Toro, Santa Claus, and that Vince Mancini – minus the fashion sense.
As a prospective homeowner, I will soon be playing the “Game of Loans.”
The show looks good, but I’m waiting for the mobile app “Game of Phones.”
Conan is planning a bee themed parody, “Game of Drones”
They were cones!
