“The Kennedys,” the miniseries abandoned by History and shunned by every other network in America, will air on ReelzChannel beginning on April 3rd. NOTE: I have never heard of ReelzChannel before. Fa reelz.
It is certainly a fit for ReelzChannel, a 4-year old independent cable channel owned by Minnesota-based Hubbard Communications that is available in 60 million homes nationwide on services including DirecTV, Dish Network, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, Comcast and Charter Communications.
In an interview with THR, ReelzChannel CEO Stan Hubbard would not reveal the pricetag, but he said he hopes the attention surrounding the project will bring new viewers to his network and help it win carriage from such cable systems as Cablevision and Cox, which currently do not carry the channel.
“We think it will drive ratings and put a spotlight on this network that has never been on it before,” Hubbard said. “We’re going to do a full-blown marketing campaign.”
I think part of the full-blown marketing campaign should include renaming the show “The Kennedyz.” Spelling things incorrectly with unnecessary Zs let people know that you mean BIZNESS.

I hope this does well if for no other reason then to stick it to the chickenshit networks who passed on this with a myriad of bs excuses but didn’t have the balls to say, ‘Yeah we passed, we’re not going to bite the hand that feeds us.’
Don’t you mean “BIZNEZZ”?
I bet REELZCHANNEL started in a dorm room.
They show reruns of NewsRadio and 3rd Rock From the Sun- I miss Phil Hartman.
Leave it to a station with the name “ReelzChannel” to air a documentary that embraces an xxxtreme right-wing viewpoint.
I’m pretty sure Uverse added this to their lineup a few months ago but I can’t say that I’ve ever watched it. I can say that this miniseries is not going to get me to start, either.
@Zack Oh go let ariana huffington queef in your mouth. I love how anything portraying the Kennedeys in a negative light is automatically “right wing.” I’m pretty sure the series producer is a conservative but not the writer.
I’ll watch- if it turns out to be a hatchet job I’ll bail but if they take a few liberties with an otherwise interesting subject / cast then who gives a shit as long as the series is entertaining?
@chazz: relax, dude – I was just making a joke about the network’s “liberal” interpretation of how consonants can and should be used. I don’t give two shits about the politics of the series.
@Zack- to be honest by the time i finished writing my comment i figured thats what you were actually referring to but I was too happy with my queef in the mouth line to not post it.
The producer is a right-wing nut, but rest assured, the writer is a guy who used to do scripts for “MacGyver” and “The Commish,” so the historical credentials of the series are going to be impeccable.
